1 Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly — such as name, email, state, winery name, representative details, and profile materials — when you create an account, enter the Competition, vote, or contact us. We also collect technical information such as hashed IP address, device and browser information, and usage data needed to administer the Competition and protect its integrity.
2 How we use information
We use your information to operate the Competition, verify eligibility and vote integrity, process payments, communicate about entries and rounds, fulfill prizes, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
3 Sharing
We share information with service providers who help us run the Competition (such as payment processors, email delivery, and analytics) under appropriate obligations, and as required by law. Aggregate or de-identified data may be used or shared for analytics and promotion of the Competition.
4 Voting integrity
To protect fair voting we record a privacy-safe connection fingerprint (a salted hash of IP address plus device signals) with each vote. We do not store raw IP addresses with votes and we never publish individual voter identities. These signals are used only to flag suspicious activity for organizer review.
5 Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work with cookies disabled.
6 Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to operate the Competition, fulfill prizes, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Vote records and integrity signals are retained to preserve a verifiable audit trail.
7 Your rights
Where applicable law provides privacy rights, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to our retention obligations. Contact info@libationawards.com to exercise these rights.
8 Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using measures appropriate to its sensitivity.
9 Children's privacy
The Competition is intended for individuals 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
10 Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy and will post the revised version with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate.
